I am teaching this course – its about encouraging young design students to find and grow their “Inner Entrepreneur”. Tutorial Blurb:

Two industrial designers started AirBnB. Industrial design can be the engine room of new ventures. You too could take a shot at finding and growing your inner entrepreneur. This tutorial has been designed to help you take a shot at entrepreneurship, or at least dream of or understand something about the petri dish that makes entrepreneurs. You will learn about startup ecosystems in Silicon Valley, Israel and India – all places that are on fire with the energy of excited entrepreneurs. Barry Katz (IDEO), Chris Ford (IDEO) and Ido Bruno (Israel) will speak to this class by skype and will answer questions towards helping you build your understanding of startup cultures. Local design startup CEOs will drop in to class to tell the story of their venture development, their ‘tactics’ and their dreams. This tutorial prepares you and provides a pathway towards startup focussed travelling studios (study tours) to – San Francisco, Tel Aviv and Mumbai – to be undertaken over the following three years (2018-2020).

Books

“Being a young entrepreneur is all fun and games until you realize that you’re actually younger than everybody. Your knowledge might not be at the same level as those who’ve been in the business for twenty years and that scares you. No need to worry though, if you have a high teachability index, you will be fine! The list below of books for young entrepreneurs is designed to help you grow both in life and in business in order to become a successful entrepreneur. The list provides books that will give you basic knowledge about being an entrepreneur but also share advice on what happens while on the journey to entrepreneurial success.”
