I am involved in a project called – I Love Blended Learning. Its a project at two levels – One, it invites academic leaders to increase their uptake of LMS, and Two, it raises the profile of digital learning for a whole community.
I think the name of this project is great. I discuss the naming of projects here – and illustrate the power of names to hang around. Like a bad smell. I am hoping that “I Love Blended Learning” is provocation enough for a conversation.
I am also a keen student and collector of phrases that speak louder than projects. Take a look at this one from this brilliant piece:
You know how we teachers are: If we don’t believe in something, we make sure it doesn’t happen…actively and/or passively.
Quite true. This is a fact that university administrations the world over do not realize. So to repeat: “If we don’t believe in something, we make sure it doesn’t happen!”
Here is another one about digital learning – also very useful:
Students Get It, Teachers Don’t…Yet
Powerful isn’t it?
Use these phrases – and do send people to David Deeds’ blog page here.
